"SMOOTH CRIMINAL" MASTER PERFORMANCE MODE = singing + choreography that is closer to an authentic Michael Jackson performance. Master performances include choreography & sequences that are NOT included in the breakdown, so they can require a lot more practice. This is by request & not a routine I would usually pick because it's not really fluid enough for me. I have to admit that it that the choreography looks easy, but: - the sequences are really tricky & the routine is too long to remember them all. I practiced this routine more than any other MJ routine, but I always trip up! - It took me 2-3 days of practice just to get past 3 stars, so I knew 5 would be impossible! Shocker! :P - it's hard to follow the background dancer, so I watch the tiny cards 95% of the time on the bottom right (that really needs improvement bc they're hard to read) - As I mentioned in the past, either the Kinect for this game or the game itself is picky as heck! Level of difficulty is 5 stars. This song can also be performed as Dance-Only & Regular Performance-Only as Level 3 star difficulty. "REMEMBER THE TIME" MASTER PERFORMANCE MODE = singing + choreography that is closer to an authentic Michael Jackson performance. This is my FAVORITE MJTE routine (next to Beat It) & I love this song too! It's also a nice arm workout ;) I practiced this song for several days because I was determined to get 5 stars, because I never have with any Master Performance. The only time I got 5 stars is when I started using the microphone on the last day of practice! That's just too bad, because not using the mic probably kept me from getting 5 stars in my previous other Master Performances. It's too much of a hassle to put it down when dancing & sometimes weird to dance with the mic. Not using the mic always kept me below 90% in singing. Oh well, whatever! With this game, it's all about "Experiencing" the full performance, hence the name, MJTE! Love it! :D Level of difficulty is 5 stars. Sometimes I like to use a mic when it complements the song or when the song is vocal-only or slower-paced. -The type of mic you can use with this game must be an Xbox 360 mic, like mine that came with the Lips Karaoke game, or the Rock Band mic. To find out where to buy, Google it! I bought mine online! -I think using the hand-held mic just helps pick me up easier. I have a habit of singing low when I'm tired because I'm not vocally trained (obviously!), so it's helpful. -To avoid the echo, you have to turn down the mic volume in the game, & it still picks you up for scoring. -Not every song in the game requires you to sing, but at least 50% of ...
